It takes more than a 26-man roster to get through an MLB season. The New York Mets have invited plenty of participants to the 2022 roster and could break last year’s record of having 64 players appear in a game.

There are those Mets we remember well and think about constantly. Then there are those others who stop over quickly and fade out of existence.

If you remember each of these forgotten Mets from the 2022 roster, the team needs to send you some season tickets.

1) Forgotten NY Mets player: Ender Inciarte

The most notable major leaguer on this list is Ender Inciarte. The former All-Star and Gold Glove outfielder landed with the Mets earlier this year and actually saw action in 11 games for them. He received 8 plate appearances and mustered up a single hit.

Inciarte is someone Mets fans are familiar with because of his six years with the Atlanta Braves. There is a reason, though, as to why the Braves no longer employ him. His career is winding down and he’s much more like Travis Jankowski than the starting center fielder he was for many years.

Adding Inciarte to the Mets roster was in response to the team having some injuries pile up and few internal options on the 40-man roster or even anyone in the minor leagues worthy of being added to it. His time with the club was never going to last very long. He was a placeholder until others came off the IL.

Gone and almost entirely forgotten, if you remember him, you’re off to a good start.
