The New York Mets have their own assortment of star players in the New York sports market. After all, it is fair to say from the past two weeks that New York has a lot of sports stars that are big players.

The Knicks, Nets, Islanders, Rangers, and Devils all made the playoffs in the same year for the first time since 1994, the Mets and Yankees both appear headed back to the playoffs, the Giants are coming off a playoff season, and the Jets landed one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history in Aaron Rodgers, and the NFL Draft is coming up on Thursday.

Earlier this week, GQ Sports published a list of athletes who claim the title as "King of New York Sports" and listed star guard Jalen Brunson of the Knicks on top of the list, with two Mets ranked in the top 10, in Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso ranked 7th and 8th respectively.

The rest of the list was Aaron Judge and Anthony Volpe of the Yankees, Mikal Bridges for the Nets, Julius Randle of the Knicks, Igor Shesterkin of the Rangers, and Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley of the Giants. So I made a list of my own, because I thought some of the choices and their respective ranking were crazy. And I expanded mine to 12, with two Mets on it, where they should have been ranked (and note that the list reflects Aaron Rodgers in a Jets uniform).

First, I will highlight what Mets made my list.
