Spring Training is always an exciting time in Florida. With its great weather and scenery, the state of Florida boasts several above-average ballparks.

The St. Lucie Mets have one of those ballparks in Clover Park. Although it is an older ballpark, having been built in 1988, it has been a ballpark that has stood the test of time. The Mets have performed numerous renovations on Clover Park over the years, including in 2012, which is when they finally ditched the right field bleachers and replaced them with regular seats, one of the many upgrades the park has seen over the years.

Another benefit of the ballpark is that it boasts a respectable larger screen for in-game digital content, which adds to the fan experience.

Clover Park serves as the home for the Mets during Spring Training, and when the minor league season starts, the St. Lucie Mets (the Low-A affiliate of the Mets) are the primary tenants. In the pre-Citi Field days, Clover Park was known for having identical dimensions to Shea Stadium.

The immediate area outside the ballpark is beautiful. With its numerous palm trees right outside the gates, it evokes the Floridian lifestyle and climate in a positive way.

A downside to this ballpark is that the traffic patterns to get in and out of the stadium are occasionally problematic, particularly on days when the crowds are large. Overall, Clover Field is one of the better Spring Training ballparks in Florida because of the renovations the team had invested in it over the years.
