The New York Mets are certainly off to a red hot start in 2022. This may have many fans thinking they should get to a ballpark and see the orange and blue play. Fans of the Amazins, however, are scattered across the country and might not be near Citi Field.

With many great ballparks out there, which is the best to see the Mets and catch a game? So, for those not near Queens, let's take a look at the best places to catch a Mets road game this season.

See the Mets on the west coast

It's time for Mets baseball, when the Mets travel to take on the Dodgers for a four-game weekend series from June 2nd-5th in Los Angeles. The matchup will feature two of the best teams in the MLB in what is sure to be high-quality baseball.

One of the most iconic and oldest parks, Dodger Stadium has plenty of history, and history with the Mets. It is where the Mets lost game 7 of the 1988 NLCS, but also where the Mets won game 5 of the 2015 NLDS.

The stadium is in the historic district, offering great views of LA and the surrounding area, both inside and outside the stadium. Due to the notorious LA traffic, arrive early and stay late. Rainouts at Dodger Stadium are rare though, having on multiple occasions held the record for longest streak without a rain out.

How about a trip to see the Amazins in the midwest

One of America's most well known ballparks, Wrigley Field is sure to be a fun experience. Whether building a cup snake out in the bleachers, watching a ball get stuck in the ivy, or admiring the old fashioned scoreboard, this iconic park offers something for everyone.

The Friendly confines of MLB’s second oldest park and this National Historic Landmark, certainly has a lot to offer. The area surrounding the stadium, Wrigleyville is a cool area that is worth exploring.

The Wrigley Field tour is also something well worth it if you have the time and is offered during your stay in the windy city. The Mets travel to Chicago for a four game series right before the all star break July 14th-17th.

For those on the east coast

The best place to catch a Mets game this season would be to take a trip to the steel city. Pittsburgh is home to one of the best ballparks in the country, PNC Park. Now while the Pirates might not be the best team to watch, there are plenty of reasons to take a trip to PNC.

The Pirates themselves are nobody’s first choice to see, (expect Pirates fans…maybe). However, their home ballpark has a lot to offer. The ticket prices to see games are one of the most affordable in the MLB. The stadium has great food options, including the notorious Pittsburger.

The views overlooking the city are tremendous. Being a 21st stadium, there is barely a bad seat in the house. Not to mention, the Mets take on the Pirates starting on Labor Day, beginning a three game series. If you can, enjoy the long weekend and see the Mets in one of MLB’s best parks.
