Mets vs. Tigers odds, run line, and total
Mets vs. Tigers prediction and pick
This game has UNDER written all over it.
Verlander has about as good of matchup possible for his 2023 debut. The Tigers have the worst offense in baseball this season, ranking dead last in OPS at .628. That numbers drops to .612 against right-handed pitchers. They're also averaging just 3.26 runs per game, the fewest in baseball.
On the other side of things, the Tigers are putting out their best pitcher to face Verlander in Rodriguez. He sports a 2.21 ERA on the season and a 0.873 WHIP. He has allowed a combined two runs in his last four starts.
With the total set at 8, this is a fantastic spot for an UNDER bet. Two great starting pitchers and one terrible offense. Let's just hope the Mets don't score too many runs on their road to victory.
