Celebrate Opening Day by watching the New York Mets these ways
Another year, another set of problems in Queens. But it appears the New York Mets are resetting the organization in a necessary way in order to succeed moving forward.
The team failed to acquire Yoshinobu Yamamoto, opting instead to sign a number of low-risk players. They added Luis Severino, Sean Manaea and Adrian Houser to the rotation while nabbing Shintaro Fujinami, Jake Diekman, and Jorge Lopez for the bullpen.
Defensively, the Mets added a couple of studs (albeit with some offensive questions) in Joey Wendle and Harrison Bader.
This year is expected to be a rebuild, but that doesn't mean Mets fans aren't interested.
