Game three between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves won’t start on time. A 12:30pm start time a day after a game that didn’t start until after 8pm will take a little longer to begin. Exactly when can we expect first pitch?
The Braves were vague, only saying the game would start with a delay. 5 minutes? 10 minutes? The unpredictability of rain will have us in limbo and staying tuned for updates.
Today’s game will begin in a delay. We will provide updates as soon as they are available.

The weather report in Cobb County (the real home of the Braves) is promising with only clouds in the forecast. It definitely appears they'll get the game in soon enough. Better now than after a couple of pitches.
The timing couldn't be more perfect as July 5 is the anniversary of one of the wildest games in MLB history ending. This was a Fourth of July Game that went deep into the night. While you're waiting, maybe watch some of the highlights.
UPDATE 1:07PM
The update is there is no update. The last thing posted by the SNY Mets account on X tells us not to sit around for too long waiting.

Why the disclaimer? Don't tempt mother nature.
