4) Edwin Diaz- CP, NY Mets

Like most closers, Edwin Diaz can be erratic at times and can make fans nervous. But the truth is, you'll be hard pressed ever to find a reliever quite as good. And since the break, he has put that on full display. It's been a week and a half since we returned, and Diaz is already piling on the saves.

The superstar closer earned his 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd saves in a span of seven days. Aside from a walk against Cincy and two more on Sunday, he has been masterful in his control. He's fanned nine batters, allowed just two hits, and has yet to allow a run. He has been the definition of dominant, and it is no coincidence that the Mets have won all five games he's appeared in. Hitters do not want to see him right now.

The Mets can certainly use more of this from Diaz. He didn't get a chance to appear last night, as the offense couldn't give him a lead to protect in the bottom of the 9th. But if the Mets are to continue this run, there will be plenty more opportunities for Diaz to mow through opponents. Now that he has his lefty counterpart in Gregory Soto, he should hopefully be leading one of the most feared bullpens in baseball down the stretch.
