2) Michael Wacha

It's easy to forget, but Michael Wacha was a member of the Mets during the 2020 season. Initially brought in to provide reliable veteran arms for the rotation, Wacha was a staple of the rotation. Unfortunately for the Mets, that wouldn't be the case as Wacha pitched to a 6.62 ERA over 34 innings. Although those numbers seem bad teams were still willing to take a shot on him.

After bouncing around the league for a few seasons, he was able to bring his ERA back to the mid-three. This caused the Royals to lock up the righty to a three-year deal worth $51 million. However, with how Wacha has pitched during spring training, Kansas City might have buyer remorse very soon. Through eight innings, he has allowed 13 runs, 11 of which were earned. He's surrendered 13 hits, four of which have been home runs, and has 10 strikeouts to three walks.

It only gets more concerning when you look into the quality of the opponent he's facing. According to baseball-reference, his quality of opposing batters faced is 8.2, which is just a little higher than a Triple-A hitter. If he's putting up horrific numbers against low-quality players, what's going to happen when he faces a major league lineup?
