2) Juan Soto

Another player who's been solid offensively so far this season is Juan Soto. Although he hasn't been hitting for power that much, especially with just one home run, he has demonstrated different methods of getting on base. He got on base in every game in the Blue Jays series. Thus, with nine games already played, he has reached base safely in every game in total, putting him on a nine-game on-base streak.

Soto also didn't get off to a hot start this season, which was seen in the first game against the Houston Astros after striking out to end the game. Since then, he has appeared to learn not to try to do too much on offense. In the Blue Jays series, he was able to get on base with mostly singles, but he also had an extra-base hit and a walk.

Although the Mets didn't score a lot of runs over the weekend, Soto reaching base daily has only increased their chances of doing so in any situation. It will be worth watching to see how much longer he can keep up his on-base streak and if these methods of him reaching base will result in more runs scored for the team.
