3) Ronny Henriquez
Pierce Johnson isn't the only right-handed reliever in the National League East who is likely going to be on the trading block. Miami Marlins' breakout bullpen arm Ronny Henriquez is also one who could be moved at the deadline. Henriquez was a waiver claim by the Marlins last offseason, but with his success, they could look to capitalize on his value.
Henriquez has tossed 42 innings this year, working to a 2.79 ERA, 3.85 FIP, and 1.19 WHIP. His 9% walk rate is slightly better than average for a relief pitcher, but his 32.6% K% is one of the best this season. He is in the top 20 of bullpen hurlers with at least 30 frames under their belt.
While Henriquez has an 84th percentile exit velocity of 87.7 MPH, he has a poor 12.9% barrel percentage, which is in just the 4th percentile. His inability to avoid the barrel has led to an HR/9 ratio of 1.50. However, this is about the only negative on Henriquez's resume so far this season. He is above the 90th percentile of both chase rate and whiff rate at 35.9% and 36.3%, respectively. Henriquez has a 2.70 SIERA, 3.27 xFIP, and 3.65 xERA.
Henriquez is arguably an even better option than Johnson. Henriquez is only 25, while Johnson is already 34. Henriquez has a 109 Stuff+, while Johnson is at 101. Henriquez still has two more years of pre-arbitration left. He may be less proven, but he's done better overall with more potential.
