How to watch the New York Mets in 2021

After COVID-19 caused the entire world to change – including MLB – it’s nice to see a bit of normalcy creep back into our lives. Now, with baseball in full swing, it’s nice to have a spring and summer with the New York Mets on our TV screens.

2021 New York Mets Preview

While most will be focused on the addition of superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor (and there’s good reason to be focused on him), the Mets quietly transformed a rotation that was one of the worst in baseball a season ago.

Even with Jacob deGrom doing his typical fantastic work, New York’s pitching staff finished 2020 with a 5.37 ERA.

But, deGrom is back. And the team adds in Marcus Stroman who opted out in 2020. Then, a healthy Noah Syndergaard will return for the second half of season. Plus, the team added Carlos ‘Cookie’ Carrasco in the Lindor trade. Not to mention the return of David Peterson, who threw really well last season. Then back-end signings of Joey Lucchesi and Taijuan Walker round out the rotation.

While the NL East is the strongest division in baseball, the Mets have a realistic shot at winning it. All the pieces are in place for a successful run.

They might increase capacity later in the year and have a number of COVID-19 guidelines they’ll be implementing.
