I watched my first full Mets game on TV the third week of April 2012, and have lived and breathed the team ever since. I'm the Sports Features Deputy for the Columbia Daily Spectator and a beat writer for Columbia baseball. Though I haven't quite gotten over trading away Josh Thole (yes, Josh Thole), I'm looking forward to what the team’s young pitching can do. My favorite Mets game so far is the May 28, 2013 the walk-off against Mariano Rivera. I feel lucky to be able to root for for a player as talented and gracious as David Wright, and I hope that Gil Hodges finally gets his due and is one day inducted into the Hall of Fame. He certainly deserves it.
