2. Matt Harvey
Matt Harvey has also had a nice spring thus far. The Dark Knight has pitched just twice, but has given up only 1 run in his 5 innings pitched, along with 3 strikeouts. We’re beginning to see a different, more humble, Matt Harvey on the mound. Having lost his swagger two years in a row, Harvey has to reinvent himself completely this year if he wants to earn any money in free agency next year. An encouraging stat: Harvey’s spring ERAs in 2016 and ’17, respectively, were 7.50, and 5.89. Although spring stats don’t really matter, it is encouraging to see Matt limiting runs in March.
