ASDRUBAL CABRERA

NEW YORK, NY – SEPTEMBER 26: Asdrubal Cabrera

Cabrera had a pretty strong season in 2017, with his .280 average. It was his second season in a row hitting .280, both with the Mets, and the last time he hit .280 was in 2009. He also hit 14 home runs, which is pretty average for him and drove in 59 runs.

Cabrera finished the 2017 really strong and it’s very possible he can ride the momentum into this season. In 27 September games, he posted a .371 average and a 1.038 OPS. It wouldn’t be a bold prediction to expect Cabrera to have his best season as a Met in 2018.

If he reaches 550 PA, 50 extra-base hits should be an easy accomplishment, with 15-17 of those being home runs. He might even be able to hit as high as .285 while cracking 70-80 for both runs and RBI.
