Mets 2017 Season in Review: T.J. Rivera
By Christina Cola

Role in 2018 and Contract status
I would love to see Rivera make a huge impact on the Mets this season. Like that breakout star that no one saw coming. Usually for a Mets player to turn into something like that, he has to be traded away first. If Rivera can stay healthy and continue his production, it’s likely that we’ll see him get more starts in the infield next year.
Next: Could Todd Frazier come to Queens?
Barring any trades, we should see him stick around Queens for awhile. He’s not arbitration eligible until 2020 and won’t be a free agent until 2023. Unless a decent deal should pop up for the Mets, I would hang on to Rivera until then.
