Mets 2017 Season in Review: Asdrubal Cabrera

How did he do in 2017?
Cabrera played the second most games for the Mets this year at 135. Just ten fewer games than Jose Reyes who played the most for the team. He has the second most wRC with 74 just behind Michael Conforto and had one of the best averages on the team. Finishing the year with a line of .280/.351/.434. Love him, or hate him, he did a lot of that heavy lifting for the offense last year.
Defensively, Cabrera had one of his worse years. Most of the season was split between playing shortstop and third, almost evenly. With 44 games at third and 45 at short. He made 17 errors between the two positions. 11 of them from shortstop. Which I think would be reason enough to move him down to third. Cabrera can’t seem to play short with that same finesse that he used to.
