Mets: Top 5 most crushing losses of 2017
By Richard Heaton

4. September 13 vs Cubs – Final Score: 17-5
For most of the night, the Mets were trying to stay in the game. By the end of the sixth inning, the Cubs had a 6-2 lead. The bullpen then came in and erased any chance of a comeback by giving up 11 runs over the next two innings.
After Hansel Robles was taken out, each of the next four Met relievers gave up at least one run. One reliever, Jacob Rhame, gave up five runs while just recording one out. He had gone five consecutive appearances giving up at least one run.
