Mets draft rounds 6-10

Ninth round

And look, another RHP for the Mets organization! With the No. 277 pick, RHP Cannon Chadwick of the University of Arkansas was drafted.

In 24 games this past season, Chadwick went 4-3 and posted a 3.66 ERA. In the past four seasons of NCAA ball, he posted a 2.49 ERA and struck out a total of 126 batters.

Tenth round

To round out the second day of the draft, the Mets selected another RHP Stephen Villines from the University of Kansas.

In 32 relief appearances this past season, Villines went 1-2 with 14 saves and had a 2.70 ERA. In 43.1 innings pitched, he has a total of 54 strikeouts and only five walks.

Do you notice a trend here? Every player drafted in the sixth through the tenth round was a RHP.
