Lucas Duda is an absolute must go this upcoming off season.

Duda’s future with the big league club is bleak because of one man, Dominic Smith.

Smith, if you don’t know, is an absolute stud first base prospect currently residing in Triple-A Las Vegas. With his almost certain call-up next season (if not earlier), there is no need to hang onto Duda.

The Mets have feasible options outside of Duda at first currently within the club in the forms of Rivera, Flores, and even Bruce (if the club decides to maintain him). This fact only puts a bigger dent in Duda’s chances of staying with the Amazin’s past 2017.

Possibly the most disappointing part of Lucas Duda’s departure is the death of the five star Instagram page We Follow Lucas Duda, which will truly be missed. As well as Asdrubal Cabrera‘s recent Instagram stories of the Duda Man.
