Many lineup projections have Mets outfielder Michael Conforto beginning the 2017 season in Las Vegas. Personally, I don’t like that decision at all.

I’m a big Michael Conforto fan, many Mets fans are.

However, the organization seems to want to keep Conforto away from a Mets starting lineup.

There are multiple reasons why Conforto should not only be on the Opening Day roster, but in the starting lineup.

For Conforto to be in the lineup, or even get a spot on the roster, something has to give.

But, for now, let’s look at four reasons why Conforto deserves an Opening Day roster spot.
