The Mets outfield situation will be resolved by the end of camp. That’s for sure. What will end up happening, however, is a whole other question.

We know Yoenis Cespedes will be in left field. That’s the only constant piece the Mets have. Aside from him, you could realistically see either Curtis Granderson or Michael Conforto in center, or either of these two beating out Jay Bruce for a spot in right field.

The Mets have told Bruce that he’s their everyday right fielder, but this week Terry Collins left the other open by suggesting he’s going to play the hottest hitter.

Collins wants Conforto to focus solely on the outfield, but at the same time is okay with giving Bruce some exposure at first base.

At this point, we know someone will play right field, but who it will be can change from one week to the next this spring.
