Number 1: Asdrubal Cabrera‘s walk-off home run against the Phillies on September 22nd.

The Mets were in a Wild Card battle with the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals, and needed every win. This was game 153 of the season.

This, in my opinion, was the most memorable moment of 2016.

The Mets were down two runs going into their at-bat in the bottom of the 11th. They were staring at a loss. After a walk to Michael Conforto and a base hit by and Jose Reyes, Cabrera became the hero. And not to mention, Cabrera’s bat flip was absolutely epic.

Yes, the season ended too quickly for our liking. But there were many thrills.

And with Cespedes back in the fold and more moves to be made, we have reason to believe that there will be more thrills in 2017.
