The Rising Apple Report turns 115 at 9pm ET, and though it was a rough weekend, we’re still excited to be talking 1st place Mets! Rich Sparago will host, senior writer Mike Lecolant joins, with Faith and Fear in Flushing‘s Greg Prince as their guest.

The Mets got swept by the Pirates at Citi Field with two well-fought extra-inning games and a 3rd that fell apart after ANOTHER 45-minute rain delay. The Nats continue to implode, getting swept out in San Francisco pretty soundly, letting the Mets maintain their 4.5 game lead. Many questions linger as the Mets head for a 9-game road trip with the O’s, the Rockies and the Phillies: What’s up with Duda’s bat? What’s happened to Bobby Parnell? Does the bullpen need to add another arm? Can the offense become more consistent again?

And as always, we’ll discuss the players to wear 15 in Mets history, as well as a history lession on the 1915 Federal League season.

So, join us at 9pm ET for the latest edition of the Rising Apple Report!
