Juan Uribe, IF, Atlanta:

Uribe, 36, is a free agent after this season and is hitting .273/.332/.411 in 74 games this season with the Dodgers and Braves.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Mets have spoken to the Braves about acquiring Uribe, who they showed interest in earlier this season before he was traded from the Dodgers to Atlanta.

After struggling mightily earlier this season with the Dodgers, Uribe has hit seven homers since joining Atlanta. Along with Venable, he’s a player who should be a bench piece if acquired by the Mets, but the fear is that they would play him every day.
