Who should the Mets demote to make room for Mejia?
By Danny Abriano

With the emergence of Verrett and his ability to throw multiple innings, the Mets could always cut Carlos Torres.
However, while Torres has struggled over the last month or so, the majority of the damage against him during that span came in two appearances where he struggled in stints that were shorter than one inning.
Torres can be maddening at times — as can Terry Collins‘ reliance on him that borders on overuse — but he’s been a pretty effective weapon in the bullpen for the Mets over the last three seasons.
