After splitting a four-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Mets will embark on a quick, three-game road trip against the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Pirates have lost their last six out of seven games to drop their overall record to 18-22, which is third in the NL Central.

Meanwhile, the Mets have managed to salvage two games in the four-game series against the first place St. Louis Cardinals to get their record to 24-18, second in the NL East.

For the three-game series, Noah Syndergaard will headline the pitching matchup for the Mets, followed by Matt Harvey, and Jon Niese.
