The Rising Apple Report is back for its 97th episode! Rich Sparago hosts, with Mike Lecolant joining him from the Rising Apple team. Also joining them today is USA Today: For The Win‘s Ted Berg.

On today’s show, the fellas will discuss the anointing of Bartolo Colon as the opening day starter, something Ted recently weighed in on. They will also discuss the middle infield and the possible roster ramifications of Daniel Murphy‘s hamstring injury.

The lefty situation is something that doesn’t seem to be going away, and they will give their two cents on what they think the Mets will do in the bullpen southpaw-wise come April 6th.

And Ted Berg has done some “real journalism” over the offseason, including documenting the less-than-minimum-wage minor league players play for, and profiling Madison Bumgarner‘s offseason “routine.” Ted will offer insight on his experiences covering the former’s legal strife and the latter’s life on an NC farm.

Plus, we will of course look back on the 1997 New York Mets, as we hit on our 97th episode.

So, join us at 9pm ET for our latest edition of the Rising Apple Report!
