Game Recap: Braves edge Mets 3-2 in Disney

Bartolo Colon got the start and tossed two solid innings before allowing a three-run homer in the third, and the Mets lost to the Braves by the score of 3-2 on Tuesday in Disney.

The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the first courtesy of an RBI single by John Mayberry, Jr.
After two solid innings, Bartolo Colon surrendered a three-run homer to Freddie Freeman in the third as Atlanta took a 3-2 lead.
An RBI single by Travis d’Arnaud in the sixth drew the Mets to within 3-2, but they couldn’t get any closer.
Highlights:
- Bartolo Colon went three innings, allowing three runs on five hits while walking one and striking out one.
- Buddy Carlyle pitched two perfect innings in relief.
- Dario Alvarez and Zack Thornton tossed a scoreless inning each.
- Juan Lagares went 0-for-3.
- Wilmer Flores went 1-for-3 with a double.
- Travis d’Arnaud went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
- John Mayberry, Jr. went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Matt Reynolds singled in his only at bat. He’s hitting 500 this Spring.
