Non-tendered: Eric Young, Jr. and Ruben Tejada

The first course of action was to clear the roster of two players who I felt were not needed in 2015 and beyond.

Young, who will likely make close to $3 million via arbitration, who has one plus tool, and who can be easily replaced by in-house options, was the first player to go.

Tejada was non-tendered next, since one of my next moves involved acquiring a shortstop that would relegate Wilmer Flores to the bench.
