Ep. 66 – Rising Apple Report: Opening Series Recap And The Dilemma Ahead

By Michael Lecolant

The Opening Series of 2014 is in the books, and it wasn’t pretty.  The Washington Nationals completed a three game sweep of the Mets earlier this afternoon, while injuries have began taking an early toll on the Mets.

The week has additionally been highlighted with coinciding roster adjustments, a bullpen implosion, and a particularly ponderous controversy regarding Daniel Murphy‘s CBA negotiated right to take leave from the team to be with his wife upon the birth of their newborn child.

We’ll discuss these topics, and more.

Tonight’s Rising Apple Report will be hosted by, me, Michael Lecolant.  I’ll be joined by fellow Rising Apple staff writer, Sam Maxwell.  We plan to bring you an hour long show this evening.
