3/29 Game Recap: Blue Jays top Mets 2-0

Saturday in Montreal, the Mets took on the Blue Jays at Olympic Stadium in their spring training finale.

Game Recap:

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the eighth, when Melky Cabrera hit a two-run homer off Adam Kolarek.

That homer turned out to be the difference.


  • Daisuke Matsuzaka tossed five scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits, walking none, and striking out 8.

Next Up:

Spring training is over!

The Mets will head to New York after the game and will have a workout at Citi Field Sunday.

Opening Day is Monday at 1:10 PM at Citi Field against the Nationals. Dillon Gee gets the start for the Mets, and will be opposed by Stephen Strasburg.
