The Rising Apple Report is done digesting its Thanksgiving meal and ready to move on to the 49th episode! I will host, with stalwarts Dan Haefeli and Mike Lecolant on board for the best Mets podcast on the internet airwaves!
First off, before getting into all the piping-Hot Stove chatter, we welcome Phil Hartman, the owner of Two Boots Pizza (the pizza shop you see all over NYC, including Citi Field) to the program. We’ll discuss the history of his Mets fandom, and of course, get into how he co-founded the best pizza chain in all of New York City.
It was reported earlier this week that Sandy and Curtis Granderson had met for dinner on Sunday. After a slew of moves all around baseball yesterday, it appears that The Grandy Camp and Sandy are knee deep in negotiations, going back and forth regarding a 4th year. We will discuss this potential move, the pros and the cons, and chime in on wherever the rumor mill is at air-time.
And of course, we will continue our new tradition of discussing who the best was to wear the number of our episode, this one being number 49. There are some interesting canditates, so we look forward with baited breath for that discussion.
