After today’s win in Cleveland, the Mets announced that they have promoted Mike Baxter, Aaron Harang, and Juan Centeno, who had all been playing for AAA Las Vegas before they were eliminated from the postseason last night.

Since keeping him down an extra day will delay his free agency by a year, it’s probable that Ruben Tejada (who Terry Collins said earlier today was coming up) will be promoted on Tuesday.

Baxter, 28, hit .208 with a .325 OBP in 120 plate appearances spread over two stints with the Mets earlier this season.  He hit .290 with a .381 OBP for AAA Las Vegas.

Harang, 35, signed a minor league deal with the Mets on September 2nd, and will likely start one of the games of the doubleheader the Mets have scheduled this coming Saturday.  Harang has a career record of 110-115, to go along with a 4.29 ERA and 1.35 WHIP.

Centeno, a 23 year old catcher, will be getting his first taste of the majors when he arrives.  He hit .285 with a .337 OBP for AA Binghamton in 2012, and hit .305 with a .346 OBP this season for AAA Las Vegas.
