The Mets continued their west coast swing to today in San Diego, and dropped a 3-0 decision to the Padres. The Mets are now 2-7 so far on the trip, and their record has fallen to 21-24 on the season. In today’s game, George Stone started and took the loss, allowing 3 runs (all earned) and 5 hits. Clay Kirby got the win for San Diego, going the distance, and allowing no runs on only 5 hits.
