2013: MLB Season Preview: Playoff Predictions

Welcome back to the latest installment of Rising Apple’s 2013 MLB season preview! Yesterday, each member of the staff made predictions as to how each of the six divisions in Major League Baseball would look like when the regular season finished. Today, we take it a step further, as we each make our playoff predictions and each crown a World Series champion.
Well, there you have it, folks. The overwhelming pick to win the World Series goes to the Detroit Tigers, as they were selected by five people on the staff. Sam and I both think the Washington Nationals will be hoisting the trophy, Dan says the Jays will be victorious, and Rich is predicting that all the money spent by the Los Angeles Dodgers will pay immediate dividends with a world championship. The most common Fall Classic match-up amongst the staff is Nats-Tigers, with the Blue Jays (twice), Braves, and Reds all getting votes to represent their respective leagues.
Thursday will be the final round of predictions by the Rising Apple staff, as we each predict who will go home with hardware after the season is through.
Who are your picks to win the World Series this year? Let us know in the comments section below.
