- Daniel Murphy (strained intercostal) is scheduled to take batting practice, run the bases, and take grounders today in Port St. Lucie.
- Per the beat writers, Jordany Valdespin (who was drilled in the groin by a Justin Verlander fastball on Monday) plans to start wearing a cup. Wise choice.
- The Mets travel to Viera this afternoon to take on the Nationals at 1:05 PM. The game isn’t on local television or radio, but can be followed via MLB Gameday. Here’s the Mets’ lineup:
