  • Per the beat writers, Zack Wheeler is expected to toss a few bullpen sessions in the coming days.  If all goes well, he should be back in game action in about a week.

  • According to Marc Carig, Johan Santana is long tossing.  Santana threw from the mound yesterday.
  • The Mets host the Braves this afternoon at 1:10 PM in a game that will air on SNY.  Here’s today’s lineup:
  1. Matt den Dekker, CF
  2. Collin Cowgill, DH
  3. Ike Davis, 1B
  4. Marlon Byrd, RF
  5. Lucas Duda, LF
  6. Travis d’Arnaud, C
  7. Justin Turner, 2B

RHP Jeremy Hefner gets the start.  Rafael Montero, Bobby Parnell, Jeurys Familia, and Josh Edgin are also scheduled to pitch.
