Some Things Never Change…

Even as we look forward to the new year, I couldn’t help but look back today when I found a 1996 Mets pocket schedule, featuring a younger, slimmer Jason Isringhausen on the front.  Izzy was 24.  I was four.  That year, I went to my first game — which the Mets won in extra innings — and fell in love, not knowing what I was getting myself into.  Sixteen years later, Izzy is still a Met.  And so am I.
