Game 130 Recap: Mets, Capuano Shut-Out Braves, 6-0

Why can’t the Mets always play like this? Chris Capuano hurled the game of his career, going the full 9 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 0 runs, and 0 walks, while sitting-down 13 batters. In fact, Capuano did not allow a hit until the 5th inning.
Thankfully, Capuano didn’t have to do all the work by himself. With the exception of David Wright (he drew two walks), every Mets position player had a hit, with Angel Pagan, Ruben Tejada, Lucas Duda, and Jason Pridie enjoying multi-hit games. Lucas Duda and Justin Turner provided most of the thunder, each knocking-in 2 RBI and smacking doubles.
As the month of August comes to a close, it’s important to note that Lucas Duda has owned a .329/.395/.579 line with 5 homeruns, 19 RBI, and 10 runs during the span.
