The first-place Milwaukee Brewers are no joke. The Brew Crew swept the floor with Mets starter Mike Pelfrey, who pitched 5 innings, surrendering 8 huts, 3 earned-runs (4 runs), and 4 walks. D.J. Carrasco couldn’t stop the bleeding. The reliever let-up 3 hits, 2 earned-runs, and a walk.

The Mets offense–especially compared to the Brewers–looked pretty limp. Angel Pagan collected two doubles out of the lead-off spot, but no one could cash in. Josh Thole was responsible for the Mets sole RBI.

The loss drops the Mets down to 60-64.
