STARTING PITCHERS:
R.A. Dickey (4-7. 3.61 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 2.23 K/BB): After a rough start (4.50 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 1.66 K/BB from April 3 to May 26), Dickey settled down over his last two months (2.63 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 3.07 K/BB from May 31 to July 8). In comparison to last season, Dickey has given up a few more hits (9.1 Hits/9 vs. 8.5 Hits/9), a smidgen more walks (2.7 BB/9 versus 2.2 BB/9), but has actually struck-out more batters (6.1 K/9 versus 5.4 K/9). Let’s hope for a successful second half. (Career vs. Phillies: .258/.310/.387 line with a 2.25 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 2.57 K/BB)

Vance Worley (4-1, 2.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 1.85 K/BB): The 23 year-old has pitched well for both the Phillies and their Triple-A club (2.31 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 4.17 K/BB) in 2011. Like any young pitcher, Worley has shown both flashes of brilliance (i.e. April 29 vs. Mets: 6 IP, 2 Hits, 0 ER, 4 BB, 5 K) and disaster (May 29 vs. Mets: 3 IP, 12 Hits, 5 ER, 0 BB, 1 K). Considering the other pitchers in the Phillies rotation, Worley is the Mets best shot at taking a game from the Phils. (Career vs. Mets: .318/.388/.409 line with a 4.50 ERA, 1.90 WHIP, 1.40 K/BB)
