Dillon Gee (7-0. 2.86 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 2.23 K/BB): Despite his tantalizing win/loss record, Dillon Gee is no Aaron Small–at least Mets fans are hoping that’s the case. If it was even possible, Gee has been most dominant in June, posting a .047 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, 3.00 K/BB, and two wins in 19 innings and three starts (his third outing was truncated due to rain). It might be best for him to finally lose a game, just so he can concentrate on becoming the next Rick Reed. (Career vs. Athletics: no record)

Josh Outman (2-1, 3.14 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 1.09 K/BB): After being out-of-baseball due to injuries since 2009, Outman is back, baby. If you recall, the former prospect posted an encouraging 3.48 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 2.12 K/BB in 67.3 innings back in 2009 before succumbing to injury, so his current stats aren’t appearing out of thin air. The only red flag for the 26 year-old hurler has been his atrocious 1.09 K/BB. While Outman’s 3.5 BB/9 is about league-average, his 3.8 K/BB would make Jamie Moyer blush. (Career vs. Mets: no record)
