The New York Mets triumphed in the final series contest behind yet another stellar Jonathon Niese outing. Niese pitched 7.6 innings, giving-up just three hits, one earned-run, four walks, while striking-out eight batters. Even though Jose Reyes was held hitless, his teammates picked-up the slack. Justin Turner, Carlos Beltran, Angel Pagan, and Ruben Tejada all had multi-hit games. Dan Murphy, Angel Pagan, Jason Pridie, and Ruben Tejada all chipped in a RBI each. Despite struggling in his last few outings, Francisco Rodriguez closed the door on the Brew Crew with a scoreless 1.3 performance for his eighteenth save.
