Dillon Gee (4-0, 3.83 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 1.61 K/BB): Since officially joining he rotation, Gee has posted 4 Wins, 3.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 1.33 K/BB–however, his BB/9 has been a whopping 4.5. Supposedly, Gee’s greatest asset is his command, yet as seen above, he has been lacking it. The youngster’s luck might soon run out unless he rediscovers the command he’s shown to have in the minors (4.05 K/BB). (Career vs. Pirates: .217/.333/.304 line with a 0.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 0.75 K/BB)

Charlie Morton (5-2, 2.61 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 1.14 K/BB): Very few people expected Morton to pitch as well as he has so far in 2011. I’m confident Charlie Morton is part of that big group who is surprised. However, despite how Greg Maddux-esq his ERA looks, his terrible control (4.2 BB/9) and even less impressive strikeout ability (4.8 K/9) will surely evolve as his inevitable Achilles heal. (Career vs. Mets: .208/.387/.250 line with a 2.57 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, 0.29 K/BB)
