Mike Pelfrey (3-4, 5.37 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 1.40 K/BB): Big Pelf’s season was looking pretty grim until his start against the San Francisco Giants on May 5. Aside from a mediocre outing against the Yankees last week, Pelfrey has churned out 2 wins while sporting a 2.11 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 1.60 K/BB, and a .203/.250/.392 against between his May 5 and May 16 starts. Whether it was mechanical or mental issues, it looks as though Pelf has–for the interim–overcome them. (Career vs. Phillies: .297/.358/.454 line with a 5.25 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 1.50 K/BB)

Cole Hamels (6-2, 3.06 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 4.53 K/BB): With pitchers like Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Roy Oswalt in the same rotation, sometimes it’s easy to forget the Phillies also have Hamels. And that might be contributing to his success. No longer the rotation anchor, Hamels appears to be headed towards his finest season. The 27 year-old currently has the best ERA, WHIP, and K/BB of his career, so Mets hitters should be afraid (very afraid). (Career vs. Mets: .313/.360/.478 line with a 4.35 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 3.17 K/BB)

Phillies: SS Rollins, 2B Utley, 3B Polanco, 1B Howard, LF Ibanez, C Ruiz, RF Brown, CF Mayberry, P Hamels
