STARTING PITCHERS
R.A. Dickey (1-4, 4.50 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 1.44 K/BB): 2011 has been up-and-down for the knuckleballer. Just when you think Dickey has turned a corner, he loses his command. His hits/9 are up 1.9 and his BB/9 are up 1.3 so far this season, which is why he doesn’t look like his 2010 self. If Dickey can limit the hits and lower his walk total, he has a chance of repeating his successful 2010 (and if not…). (Career vs. Astros: .247/.293/.344 line with a 2.49 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 2.60 K/BB)

J.A. Happ (2-4, 5.75 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, 1.47 K/BB): Happ was a key part of the trade which sent Roy Oswalt to the Phillies last season, but he hasn’t quite filled Oswalt’s shoes so far in 2011. The lefty has either been extremely hittable (9.5 hits/9) or lacking control (4.2 BB/9). While Happ looked good once he came over to the Astros last season (3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 1.74 K/BB in 72 IP), it’s doubtful he’ll ever return to his 2009 self (12 Wins, 2.93 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 2.13 K/BB). (Career vs. Mets: .260/.333/.520 line with a 5.17 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 1.50 K/BB)
