Mike Pelfrey (2-3, 6.06 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, 1.40 K/BB): Pelfrey actually looked good in his latest contest, hurling 7.6 innings, giving-up just 4 hits, 1 earned-run, 2 walks, while striking out 5 San Francisco Giants batters. Big Pelf needs a few more of those outings to make-up for the rest of his generally horrendous season, but the heavy-hitting Rockies might not be the best opponent for such. (Career vs. Rockies: .262/.344/.360 line with a 2.91 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 1.74 K/BB)

Jason Hammel (3-1, 2.63 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 2.00 K/BB): Hammel is carving out a nice little season in 2011 for the Rockies, mostly thanks to a career-low hits/9 innings. While the big righty has averaged 10.3 hits/9 throughout his career, in 2011, that rate has shrunk to an impressive 8.6 hits/9. Not to rain on his parade, but considering his K/9 is a measly 5.3 K/9, his elite hits/9 rate is sure to go up (which will in turn affect his ERA/WHIP). (Career vs. Mets: .350/.354/.450 line with a 6.91 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 4.00 K/BB)
