Jon Niese (0-3, 5.87 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 1.80 K/BB): Jon Niese still hasn’t shown flashes of the Niese from 2010. Going into the season, it was thought that the young pitcher would just need to work on stamina (since he obviously slowed down in the second half of 2010), however, Niese’s achilis heal has been falling behind on hitters. The result has been a spike in walks, hits, and earned-runs.  (Career vs. Diamondbacks: .317/.378/.707 line with a 8.68 ERA, 1.82 WHIP, 2.00 K/BB)

Armando Galarraga (3-0, 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 2.33 K/BB): Galarraga is more well-known for his almost-perfect game last season (the famous blown call), but fans tend to forget the right-hander has more accolades to his name. In 2008, Galarraga finished fourth in the ROY award voting after posting 13 Wins, 3.73 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 2.07 K/BB. The former-Tiger has already notched 3 Wins in 2010, but his ERA suggests the abundance of wins might cease. (Career vs. Mets: .238/.333/.333 line with a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 0.33 K/BB)
