Jerry Manuel After Last Night’s Losing Effort: “Our Offense is Pathetic”.

By Unknown author

After another stunning lose for the Mets in Houston, Jerry Manuel told reporters that the Mets offense right now is “pathetic”. Here’s what he had to say about his offense.

"“We have to do what we’ve been talking about all of the time, we have to do more offensively. We’ve got to find a way to get that done. I mean, that’s poor. That’s a very poor effort on our part offensively. We have to do better. Period. It’s pathetic. We have to do better.”"

Where did you get that first clue Jerry?! The Mets have been struggling since the all-star break, and now you figure out this team is pathetic offensively. Amazing!

The Mets have not been hitting in key situations since the all-star break. They haven’t been able to score runs based off a hit. Sure, stealing bases and a flyout can help score runs, but its more important to score runs by your teammates hitting, and driving you in. David Wright is struggling, Carlos Beltran is struggling. If two of your top-3 offensive weapons are not hitting in division race is something you absolutely don’t need. If your team wants to win the division crown, they need to hit. Its basically all over for the Mets this season readers. Better just watch them for the hell of it.
